ENTRY PERIOD. Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on August 26, 2024 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on December 6, 2024, the “Sweepstakes Entry Period”).

ELIGIBILITY. WFCU Credit Union Kick-Off Kid Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Ontario, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and the parent or legal guardian of a child between the ages of 6 and 14 years old at the date of entry (“Entrant”).

Current, former and retired employees, officers and directors of WFCU Credit Union (“Sponsor”), The Detroit Lions and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, representatives, directors, officers, agents, divisions, dealers, affiliates, distributors, advertising and promotional agencies, employees and assigns, advertising, promotion and administrative agencies; and anyone else connected with the production and distribution of this Sweepstakes and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related to any of the above-named entities, are not eligible to participate or win. Only an individual meeting all eligibility requirements set forth in the Official Rules may participate in the Sweepstakes or win a prize. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other advertising, promotional or other materials, these Official Rules shall govern. WFCU Credit Union reserves the right to verify the eligibility of a winner before awarding any prize.

3. HOW TO ENTER: There are two methods of entry.
   Method #1: To receive an entry, the parent or legal guardian of a child between the ages of 6 and 14 years old at the date of entry must complete one of the following two options:
4. Open a new GIC account (One (1) year or greater) with a minimum deposit of $100 in their child’s name.
5. Open a new Gold or Diamond EVA chequing account in the parent’s name with a minimum deposit of $250.

The eligible Chequing Account must remain open and in good standing for 90 days from the time of opening. If the chequing account is closed within 90 days of opening or the balance is reduced below $250, the parent or legal guardian will be prohibited from entering WFCU Credit Union contests for 3 years.

Once Option 1 or Option 2 are completed, the child (“Participant”) will be automatically entered into the draw.

Limit of one (1) entry per Participant throughout the Sweepstakes Entry Period regardless of method of entry. Additional entries received from the same Participant in excess of the stated limitation will be void. All entries become the exclusive property of WFCU and will not be acknowledged or returned. The use of script, macro or automated devices (or any other devices intended to automate or subvert any aspect of entry) to enter the Sweepstakes is prohibited, and any entry through such means and any entry that is deemed to be ineligible (at WFCU’s sole discretion) and in accordance with these Official Rules are void. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an Entrant based on the email address submitted, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person named on the applicable entry (regardless of whether that is the name of the authorized account holder of the email address from which said entry form was submitted), provided such individual is eligible according to these Official Rules.

Method #2: To enter the Sweepstakes without opening a new GIC account or a Gold or Diamond EVA chequing account, an Entrant may submit a mail-in entry. To enter via this method, handwrite your first and last name, Participant(s) first and last name and date of birth, street address, phone number and email address, along with a handwritten 50-word or longer essay about your favourite Detroit Lions Player on a postcard and mail your entry to: WFCU Credit Union, Kick-Off Kid Sweepstakes, c/o Marketing Department, 3000 Marentette Avenue, Windsor, Ontario, N8X 4G2. To be eligible for the prize drawings, your mail-in entry must be postmarked during the Sweepstakes Entry Period and received within seven (7) days from the postmark date. If the last day of the entry period is on a Sunday or Provincial Holiday, then your mail-in entry must be postmarked the next business day and received 7 days thereafter. The Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, illegible, misdirected or postage due mail. Limit of one (1) mail-in entry per Entrant and Participant. Any attempted participation beyond this limit or multiple entries received from any Entrant or Participant (including, without limitation, by providing multiple sets of false contact information) are void and they may be disqualified at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Entries that are incomplete, garbled, corrupted, mechanical, or unintelligible for any reason, are void and will not be accepted.

PRIZES. The Sweepstakes will award one prize package containing: four (4) tickets to a Detroit Lions home game, one (1) parking pass, one (1) Detroit Lions jersey, and the Participant will have the opportunity to run out on the field to grab the kickoff tee after the Lions kickoff. There are nine (9) prize packages to be won during the Entry Period. Prizes will be drawn on the following dates:

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION. One winner will be randomly selected on the draw dates noted above. The Entrant of the winner will be notified by telephone and/or email. If any Entrant cannot be contacted within 24 hours of the first notification attempt, such prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given. The winner must be available for the game date and time awarded and is responsible for transportation to and from the game. If the winner is unavailable, such prize will be forfeited, and the entry will be automatically entered into the remaining drawings. Non-winning entries from each drawing will be automatically entered into the next drawing. Winning Entrants are not eligible for subsequent drawings. The odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible entries received prior to that drawing.

IMPORTANT NOTICES. If the event is delayed, postponed, or cancelled for any reason, the winner will not be reimbursed for the prize. Prizes are subject to standard rain-check policies and procedures. No prize substitution will be offered, no transfer of prize to a third party is permitted, and prizes may not be redeemed for cash value.

The prize takes place in Detroit, Michigan, which requires international travel and WFCU is not responsible for any Entrant and/or Participant that is unable to meet international travel requirements.

CONSENT AND RELEASE. To the fullest extent possible in law, Entrants, and on behalf of the Participant, and their respective heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, successors and assigns, agrees to release, defend and hold harmless

Windsor Family Credit Union Limited (includes WFCU Credit Union, ECU – A Division of WFCU Credit Union), the Detroit Lions, the NFL, Ford Field, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any and all actions, causes of action, suits, debts, dues, sums of money, accounts, reckonings, bonds, bills, specialties, covenants, contracts, controversies, agreements, promises, variances, trespasses, lost profits, indirect or direct damages, consequential damages, incidental damages, punitive or exemplary damages, judgments, extent, executions, claims and demands whatsoever, in law, admiralty or equity, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, against the Releasees  which any one or more of the Entrants and/or Participants  ever had, now have or hereafter can, shall or may have which in any way arise out of or result from Entrant’s and/or Participant’s participation in this Sweepstakes or acceptance, use or misuse of any prize. Entrants assume all liability for any injury, including death or damage caused or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Sweepstakes or indirect use or redemption of the prize.

The Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of any prize. The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules at any time and without notice including in the event the Sponsor is prevented from continuing with the Sweepstakes as contemplated herein by any event beyond its control, or otherwise, including but not limited to fire, flood, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared) or any federal, provincial, or local government law, order, or regulation, or order of any court, or other cause.
